Roule Galette is a little piece of France where you will find French staff, speaking the language of Voltaire who will serve you in a warm and intimate setting reminiscent of Montmartre in Paris.
Music, whether Breton or French songs of the last century or more modern times will accompany your meal along with authentic Cider from the Pays d’Auge in Normandie, or Cotes du Rhone or Burgundy wines. Not to forget the inimitable Orangina.
Once upon a time, a family of seven children lived in the south of Brittany. Michel, the third child, inherited a passion for cooking from his parents. From 10 years old onwards, he prepared crepes (and galettes) every Friday evening for the traditional family dinner. Michel grew up and travelled the world, and wherever he went he enjoyed delighting people he met along the way with crepes he prepared for them. In 2006, Michel arrived in Melbourne with his family, and while exploring the streets of Melbourne, could find nowhere to enjoy a delicious crepe. Without hesitation, he started to search for a suitable location to set up his own creperie. With the help of good friends, Roule Galette, the first Breton crêperie in the Melbourne CBD was created then launched on 18 June 2007.
